Title: On The Fence
Author: Kasie West
Genre: Young Adult Contemporary
Rating: 5 | 5

Synopsis: Goodreads

Review:
Nothing about Kasie West's books disappoint me, is it too early to say she might be a new found favorite? After reading two of her books I already know I'll immediately pre-order her future books (like I just finished doing). This Author is a phenomenal writer! She has this way of making each character so uniquely different, and her flow of writing is smooth as velvet. You can easily get lost in her books and finding yourself like me wide eyed at five am from finishing one of her phenomenal novels!

I loved every single character in this novel. They are each so funny and unique. There's amazing dialogue between each person. Such amazing banter, and our main character Caymen is a ball of fun! Alexander, bless the writing gods for having Kasie West make you!

Caymen: Is a very relatable character. She's so honest, and sarcastic. Usually using her sarcasm in inappropriate moments, but you'll love her for it. Everything that goes on in this girls head is so funny. I truly wish she were real because I think we'd make great friends!

Alexander: Humina. Humina. He's pretty much the good boy next door. He's cute and sweet. I like that his looks aren't overly expressed throughout the book. The Author doesn't continue to describe his "bulging biceps" while he's cutting paper. You know, those books? You see more of his attractiveness through out the book. It's more of a falling in love with his personality and then everything about his looks and etc is just a bonus.

I never used to be a fan of Contemporary books. They used to lack something.. Until now I still don't know what the previous contemporaries lacked, but I can tell you for sure this isn't one of those. It's the kind where after you finish you will crave more. High praises for Kasie West! I will continue with all her books and hope to love them all just as much as the past two!

Why not, right?

Title: The Winner's Crime
Author: Marie Rutoski
Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy
Rating: 3.5 | 5

Synopsis: Goodreads

Review:
This book is so close to four stars but it just couldn't cross the line. So close to a perfect, unforgettable read but yet so so far. The Author immediately brings you to three months after where you left off in the first book The Winner's Curse. She brings you back in to this world of chaos, betrayal, and so much heart break. There's so much mind games in this book, I'm surprised I didn't get a head ache.

The writing is just as exquisite as the last, but unlike the last I immediately adapted to her writing style. I even loved the third person point of view. I got to see what each side was doing and how they both felt. There wasn't any guessing game and that's what makes it hurt. (You'll see when you read.) This book in specific is filled with so much more information on the lands, people, and just how the empire works. You get a look into Kestrels strength and weakness, never thinking of how it could change her.

The whole time I was reading I left to giddy and excited. There was so much information, and build up that there was no way that something huge wasn't about to go down! Then I got disappointed. The whole book just felt like a waiting game. Waiting for the characters to finally be honest with the other, waiting for when it was safe, for when things would finally happen to our likes!

While I still love the characters, and the series it isn't something I would reread. I don't think I'll ever reread this ever again, the book felt like just one huge filler. I have a love hate relationship with it. I truly hope you all had/have a different experience with it than me. Enjoy Arin, he's much better when he talks moree ;) xx

Title: White Hot Kiss
Author: Jennifer Armentrout
Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal
Rating: 4 | 5

Synopsis: Goodreads

Review:
Jennifer Armentrout has always been that Author I knew I could count on. This book isn't different from her other work. Just as much as I loved the others, I love this just as much, but I just wasn't captivated by it. Her writing is exquisite. It gets better with every page she writes. She doesn't ever leave anything for you imagination. She paints it out for you, everything is explained so detailed you see it play as a movie. The sarcastic, witty charm in her writing is here and stronger than ever.

I adored Layla (our heroine). From the beginning of the book she is this shy girl that isn't sure which side she stands in life. As the book progresses so does she, by the end of the book she's this total badass, kicking butt. She's also very relatable and funny.

I thought there was a love triangle in the book. Everyone has been talking about team(insert guys name). In this book Jennifer leans you towards a specific guy but you still sort of ache for the other. It doesn't feel like a love triangle and I love that!

Over all, I loved the book. It is addicting, bad ass and had me swooning. (But what Jennifer book doesn't?) It's extremely fast paced, one minute everything is calm then the next it isn't. The plot and twist is executed phenomenally. The only reason I notched this down a peg is because I wasn't captivated. By most of Jennifer's books I'm in love before the first chapter is even over. It wasn't enticing right from the beginning but is still an amazing book. I highly recommend this, and happy reading! xx

Title: Love In Rewind
Author: Tali Alexander
Genre: Adult Contemporary
Rating: 4.5 | 5

Synopsis: Goodreads

Review: I have been sent this book in exchange for a honest review.

Tali Alexander wrote such an amazing book. Her writing is amazing. It flows easily, and effortless. I love the plot of the book, I loved being in the dark and not knowing what happened. I loved reading their love story from the very beginning. The book is more on the side of romance fairy tale, where to me nothing is very much realistic, they lay eyes on each other, fall in love. I am a sucker for those books, after reading so much Young Adult I need something like this: witty, quick, amazing read.

The main character have such an amazing profound love for one another. Louis and Emily have a unique story. Emily is eighteen and falls in love with a man who is eleven year older than her, making him twenty-nine. Fast forward to ten years later, they have two kids and things rough. Louis won't talk to her, touch her, or love her. Follow Emily's beautiful, heart wrenching journey as she tries to figure out where it all went wrong. (I don't wanna give much or anymore away, you need to feel it all yourself, your emotions will just rush out.)

I hope you all get sucked into this book and become addicted just like I did. I found myself thinking about the characters when I wasn't reading like at: work, driving, and grocery shopping. I couldn't wait to get home and read. This book won't be for everyone, but go into it with a clear open mind. I do believe people who loved Fifty Shades of grey will love this. I highly recommend and hope you all love it! <33

Title: On The Fence
Author: Kasie West
Genre: Young Adult Contemporary
Rating: 5 | 5

Synopsis: Goodreads

Review:
I loved this book from the very beginning. Everything about it drew me in, and got me hooked. I love the effortless beautiful writing of the Author. I loved that there were so many characters in the book but not once did you get anyone confused. Each person had their own distinct voice. Charlie is such a great character, she's so relatable, competitive and kick ass. I am not a sports kind of girl, I am the polar opposite of who Charlie is, but Kasie West made me feel like Charlie. Like I could run eight miles everyday (haha yeah right). While I was reading this book, I was taken out of reality into this amazing/complicated life Charlie lives. The plot and romance in this book is slow but that's what makes it so amazing.

I don't do well with contemporary books, but this has been a book I will never forgot. The characters are perfect. Everything was so well constructed, I really wish there could be more to this story, I can't get enough!

I highly recommend everyone reads this. I was so addicted, I read it in one sitting. (Sorry for this not so good review.. All I can say is I LOVE IT!)

Kasie West had me like..

Title: Fire & Flood
Author: Victoria Scott
Genre: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Adventure
Rating: 5 | 5 !!!!!

Synopsis: Goodreads

Review:
I want to personally thank the Author. I believe this my first Sci-fi, adventure-fantasy novel I've ever read and I feel truly blessed to be a reader. She's given me this amazing gift with her words. Thank you so much for writing such a beautiful, well rounded book that has everything a five star book contains. You've opened my heart to this new genre that I cannot wait to read more of it. Good luck to the next book I read in this Genre, I don't think one could even come close to comparing.

I received this book from my wonderful friend as a birthday present, and I just wanna crush her with a HUGE AK-7 hug for doing that - thanks Liv! I went into the book very opening minded, and so dang excited. When I heard people say it reminded them of Pokémon and the Huger Games I couldn't wrap my mind around that, so naturally I had to pick it up and see myself. If you've watched Pokémon from the very first episode to the last you'll see a lot of similarities from the characters personalities and etc.. I've never read the Hunger Games but only watched the movies (I know shame on me..) and it has the same idea: you participate in a race or "game" for a prize but, and I cannot stress this enough IT ISN'T LIKE IT. It's so different.

The Author, when writing this created this whole different atmosphere and it felt like I was the character. I was plucked from my couch into the book, playing as her. Victoria Scott is such a great writer, I love how detailed every single aspect of the book was. I love the little surprises of humor in such a heavy book. I love the characters, most especially Tella. I relate so much to Tella, and even though there were so many different characters in this book they never sounded the same. Everyone had their own voice and personality that was easily distinguishable.

Fire and Flood is so fast paced, and extremely addicting. I suggest you don't start reading at night or a day before you have work, because you won't wanna put this baby down. I most especially loved that in the midst of all this chaos and craziness happening, there was also two people falling in love. Our main character and Guy (really, that's his name. kinda cool, right?) blue eyed, bronze babe ;). It was the perfect amount of romance. I won't say anymore about him, you'll just have to BUY THE BOOK NOW. I hope you fall in complete utter love with this book like I did. Tella is so refreshing and real. She isn't an instant badass, but she grows and gets the strength she needs to stay in the race. I HIGHLY recommend this book. This is my first Victoria Scott book but I think it's safe to say she just may become a new auto-buy author of mine.
