Hey guys,

I just wanted to update you on why I've been MIA lately. After reading 'My Life Next Door' I haven't read anything. I'm suppose to be starting the TID (The Infernal Devices) but I haven't. I hope know I'm not in a book slump. I guess just a bit distracted. It's finally starting to feel like summer here in the East Coast. Lately I've been outside hanging out, and working.

For some good news! My sister is also a keen reader, and she's been joking around about how she wants to create a book blog, but now she want to do one together! So I guess, I'll be on two blogs? Not even sure if that makes sense, but I'm excited so I'll have more news about that soon! :)

Lastly, I woke up to an email this morning from good reads. I was blessed enough to win a copy of 'Rebel: City of Indra' by the Jenner sisters. Remember when I talked about wanting to buy it, but wasn't sure if I should spend money on it. I've never won anything before so I'm extremely ecstatic. I'll be able to do a review for you guys as soon as I finish the book.

xx

Title: My Life Next Door
Author: Huntley Fitzpatrick
Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary
Ratings: 5 stars!!

Synopsis: Good Reads

Review:

I am not one for sappy and really happy perfect world type of stories. But this one in particular is perfectly balanced. Ever since Anna & The French Kiss I can’t stop reading Contemporary books. I’ve become obsessed, a contemporary book monster.

From the moment I read the first chapter, I was swept into this wonderful world. Where it’s always sunny and the air smells of salt. Everything seeming perfect.. but of course that’s never the case. Samantha life is content, good grades, summer jobs, strict but good mom, it’s ALMOST perfect. But she has a secret.. She’s been watching the Garrets. The family that is taboo to her posh mother.

This story is so beautiful written. Every sentence and word just flowing easily as I turn each page.. Stony Bay is so beautiful described I feel like I can taste the salt in the air, and feel the humid heat on my skin. I’m in love with the plot, and the forbidden secret love. Sort of reminding me of Romeo And Juliet of course, but it’s nothing like that.. It’s better. The love between Jase and Samantha is very genuine and innocent (sometimes). They truly both deserve to be happy and together. Samantha comes from a rich family, but I’m so happy she isn’t one of those spoiled girls who don’t work for anything and want every thing handed to her. She isn’t stuck up, snobby, or even remotely close to those. She’s caring, selfless, and forgiving. I personally love her as a character. She’s simple, but not overly simple where she doesn’t stand out. She’s gorgeous with blond hair, blue eyes, and slim swimmers body. She’s beautiful, but isn’t completely aware of it. Jase is also such a wonderful character, from looks to personality. Big green eyes with silk curly brunette hair and the body of football player, he’s just smokin’ hot. Always smiling and beaming positivity. And his love for his BIG family is seriously just endearing. He’s different, not an 18 year old boy, but a man! I love his parents and family. Samantha’s mom, and boyfriend both piss me the heck off and I wish they just jump off a cliff. (I don’t even want to talk about them anymore..) This is one of the most perfect Summer books to read. It’s light and fast read. It’s filled with drama, excitement, love, and giddiness. I can’t describe the amount of time I was kicking my feet in the air, or just smiling from ear to ear. I’m so satisfied with how everything wrapped up. Yes i’d love to see more of the characters, but I’m happy with their ending and I highly recommend this to everyone I know! I can’t wait to read more of the Authors books! I will definitely pick up her next book soon! :)

Review:
How do I go about describing the feeling of utter love for a series as beautiful as this? There is no series that comes close to the perfection of this one. I was beguiled the moment I turned the the cover of SM. The dedication from the book is so beautiful. (And that isn't even part of the story) The story, narration, all of it was written in this smooth flowing way that just made you turn the pages until you hit "Acknowledgement". I am really so angry with myself, because I didn't read the book when I should have. WHY? I don't know and I just want to face palm myself so bad!
SM: I was hooked the moment I started the first page. I couldn't stop reading. I ended up finish the book in one day. Within about five hours, give or take. It's such a small amount of pages, but so much happens. I felt so bad for Juliette in this book, she was so unhappy and empty. But then Adam comes into her life touching her, and just sweeping her off her feet and then things are perfect for a while or a second.. I was team Adam in this book, I was drawn to his tattoos, sweetness, and gentle voice. But than there's Warner, blunt, sexy, and posh. Everything about him attractive in the forbidden fruit type of way.
DM: You get sort of a torn feeling in this book. Because right away from SM I was Team Adam, but then I read this and god. Warner, why did you have to be so caring and sensitive and just a bit perfect. I was fine with the fact that you were a dick. But now I know it's just a facade. And I hated that you slowly crept into my heart that truly only belonged to Adam..
UM: I love Kenji! Love love love, that guy. He's seriously the best comic relief to a book like this. Especially this book it is so emotionally exhausting.. I was just so tired through out the whole thing. I don't even want to talk about this. It was beautifully dysfunctional. Please read the series if you haven't.
FM: Well, well. Who knew there was a bad boy in you Adam?.. I'm not going to judge and I'm not going to hate. Because I completely understand every single decision you made in this. This book didn't make me go into Team Warner. I didn't see Adam as a dick because of this book. I saw a heart broken man, trying to save the only good thing in his life. Kuddos to you.
IM: PERFECT. PERFECT JUST FUCKING PERFECT. (Haha, you see what I did there? ;) ) Again, the way Adam reacted and acted in this book didn't make me hate him or go into Team Warner. I felt that if I was him, I would probably act the same way. Bitter and angry. But with that being said, he did push Juliette away with his painful words. & MY GOODNESS was Warner just a dream in this book, utterly sweet and caring, and just the world love just makes me melt.. Lets also talk about how bad ass Juliette is. Like I didn't see that coming. I'm so happy and proud for her, she has come such a long way. Finally, she is able to embrace her gift and who she truly is. Which is why I love Warner, because he did that for her. He showed her how important she is. How she isn't a weapon of mass destruction but something else. Something that can change the world, and history and bring it back to the way it was suppose to stay. He lifted her, strengthened her, they belong together. They're perfect.

Title: Trust In Me
Author: J.Lynn
Genre: New Adult
Rating: 5 out of 5 cookies ;)

Synopsis: Good Reads

Review:

This book broke my heart in the best way possible. If I could give it more, stars I freaking would. The story follows the same story from 'Wait for you' but this time in Cam's perspective. I have to say, I love his perspective more than I do Avery's. I adored Cam and Avery's friendship from the first chapter.. And as pages went by I fell in love with their story. I always find myself struggling explaining books I love. Like I can't seem to construct a good review because all I want to do is scream, giggle and cry. (Fangirl, basically.) But I will try my best to explain my profound love for this book.
Like I said earlier, I enjoyed this way more than 'Wait for you'. Don't get me wrong 'Wait for you' is wonderful, breathtaking, and completely adorable. But this one, Cam's POV is so raw and different. And seeing Avery and feeling every emotion going through his body as he slowly falls in love with her is just extraordinary. Cam is very different from a lot of book boyfriends I've read about. He's patient, blunt, charming, understanding, loving, rough, funny, and sexy as hell. Rereading 'Wait for you' in Cam's POV answered a lot of unanswered question from Avery's POV. It was stunning, completely captivating, humorous, and just purely hot. & I could only wish that from here their relationship just continues to blossom.

Title: Be With Me (Book #2)

Author: J.Lynn (Jennifer Armentrout)
Genre: New Adult
Rating: 5 out of 5 cupcakes ;)

Synopsis: Good Reads
The story follow Teresa who's an eighteen year old girl who transferred to the college her brother (cameron) attends. Teresa has always dreamed of becoming a professional dancer, but after a terrible accident happens she can't seem to heal properly.. but if that wasn't stressful enough she can't shake Jase (her brothers best friend) out of her system after sharing that one passionate kiss a year ago. As the story progresses we witness the heart ache and love that takes place. Only question is.. Will her left her in?

Review:
Like always.. I am in awe with Jennifer.  I cannot explain my affection for this series. I absolutely adored Cameron and Avery's story, but I am so very infatuated with Teresa and Jase. They're both such different lively characters. Teresa is just like her brother, they're both so passionate, understanding, and strong willed. They seem to make every bad situation into a positive. Teresa goes through a lot in this book and I'm honestly so bewildered by how she keeps a smile on her face. Kuddos to her and her strong spirit! Ah, now for some Jase. He's very broken, selfless, confused, "caveman", and loving. The chase in the book is very different. It wasn't innocent or flirty, it was hot and heavy. I felt the desire they held for one another. This goes for all Jennifer's books. She doesn't just write novels.. She brings them to life.. I'm extremely satisfied and still can't get over how much I enjoyed this! The novel is full of suspense, romance, and secrets.. I lost sleep because I couldn't put it down! And you know what? I did not regret my decision at work while running on two hours of sleep..

I sort of see a similarity with "Wait for you" and "Be with me" but just one. Other than that one, the whole story is different. The plot is captivating, the characters were real, and I was engulfed. I also did really enjoy the little cameos with Avery and Cam. I love how Jennifer answered all the lingering questions about Cam and Avery. I'm so happy to witness their love continue even for just a little bit. There wasn't a moment in this book where I wasn't laughing out old, crying, giggling, or smiling from ear to ear like the joker!

Five stars for another phenomenal book by J. Lynn! My questions about Avery and Cam were answered, high five for the strong, beautiful independent character Teresa, and of course the hot steamy-ness that occurred whenever Jase and her were within breathing space!

Title: Finding it
Author: Cora Carmack
Genre: New Adult
Rating: 4 out of 5!

Synopsis: Good Reads
Finding it follows the story of Kelsey who is the best friend of Bliss in 'Losing it'. --- Kelsey is fresh out of college and doesn't seem to know what she wants in life. She has always been an actress but something just doesn't feel right. So she decides to stop her life in the states. Go to Europe and just live. Little did she know she'll be finding herself and falling in love with the enigma Hunt.

For months I've been debating on whether or not I should buy this in e-book form or the physical copy. Then the other I was browsing the book aisle at target and there it was a limited signed copy and I knew this is why I waited.. I'm so happy to have found this because I missed her book signing in February due to snow! :(

This story is just amazing! I found myself laughing a lot, seriously smiling and kicking my feet in the air with happiness! Kelsey's an amazing character, but she also seems to contradict herself. She's hilarious, feisty, honest and confident.. But also extremely insure not physically but emotionally. She's the perfect mix of lost and broken. Where she'll still be able to live her life.. just not to her fullest extent. Until she meets Hunt. Who has to be thee most chivalrous character I've ever had the pleasure of reading about. I believed the species of gentleman were dead but for sure I am wrong. He's patient, kind hearted and mysterious. Oh and did I mention he's hot? Grey eyes. buzz cut, and muscles that belong on a bow flex commercial. The chemistry between them is pretty great. Though sometimes it came to a point where I just wanted to hit Hunt for being such a pansy! I found myself saying "Oh c'mon.. Seriously?" A lot.

Overall,  I feel completely satisfied with the book. I love the way it began and ended. And obviously everything else in between ;) I won't be giving the book five stars because emotionally I couldn't connect with the characters. I loved that they are so dysfunctionally beautiful and I won't be reading 'Seeking Her'. (Prequel - Hunts POV) I definirely recommend the book if you've enjoyed the 'Losing it series' so far! :)
