Title: The Girl in 6E
Author: A.R Torre
Genre: Suspense, Tad bit romance
Rating: 5 | 5 stars

Synopsis: Goodreads

Review:
I am absolutely stunned with how much I enjoyed this book. I went into the book sort of blind. Meaning I knew an inkling of information because I have no self control and scrolled through reviews on good reads. I saw gifs of sex and was really confused. I'm so happy this book has the cover it has because it has not synopsis. There's four lines on the back cover and a bunch of blurbs. And honestly that and the enigma of the cover is enough to get you to buy it.

The story started off strong and ended the same way. The minute I turned the page I was drawn into this world of a secluded girl. I didn't know what was going on but I couldn't wait to find out. The book is written differently. Some parts in third person, others in first person, and some not even in her point of view. I loved that. I loved knowing there are different stories in this one book and sooner or later they will collide into one.

Deanna is such a strong girl. Even though she has her flaws I totally admire her. She could be trying to fool her self and lie to the world but instead she isn't. She's doing what's right. Also another thing I can't help but mention. Everyone talks about "only if" only if I had a better job, only if I could get a job. No. No ifs. I know the girl is fictional but she is making a good (as good as it could get) living for herself within four walls. I just don't think there are any excuses these days. Excuse my rant. I just thought that needed to me included. I really liked that the book didn't focus on the romance bit, it wasn't often in your face but definitely makes a huge impact in the book.

I suggest if you want something refreshing and addictive you should read this. It isn't a book meant for everyone which means you should be patient and keep an open mind. Not everyone will like this and if you do read it. I hope you love it like I do. Deanna isn't exactly a relatable character but she's a great one. The enigma of her own self is already a draw in. She's interesting, complex, and gorgeous.

Next book I'm moving on to is Throne of Glass. What are you reading? Tell me how you feel about.

Title: Volition
Author: Lily Paradis
Genre: DON'T TRY AND BOX TATE
Rating: 5 | 5

Synopsis: Goodreads

Review:
I'm sorry Lily, I wanted to write such an in-depth, wonderful book review for you. But I can't. To me, Volition isn't a book talked about, you just need to feel it. You need to read it to understand.

Volition will put you in the darkest place. In a good way, the book will make you think, and feel. You'll find yourself overwhelmed with so many emotions. That's okay, that's even great because it means you're getting it. Just step back, take a break when that happens, find a snack, then breathe and dive back in.

Tate isn't the most likable character out there, she doesn't do things to please others. She doesn't for herself. She's real. She's dark and twisted but that's because she's felt more pain than a person should in one life time. The writing is exquisite. Lily is phenomenal, and so are the rest of the characters. Hayden's patient and loving, but you know that boy's rough around the edges but for his women, he'll be a gentlemen. Jesse, kiss my ass, too little to late.

My review, or not so review will be confusing if you haven't read it yet. I know the point of a review is to entice you to buy the book. I won't tell you to do so, but you will be missing out on something so unique and raw if you don't read this. I've been waiting for a story like this, and it's exactly and more what I've been looking for.

Title: Cinder
Author: Marissa Meyer
Genre: Young Adult, Dystopian
Rating: 3.5 | 5

Synopsis: Goodreads

Review:
I always feel like the odd duck, I never seem to have the same opinion as everyone else. I have the unpopular opinion. I wanted so much to love this book, everyone praised it, and ranted all good things on it but I couldn’t. I have no problem with the writing of the Author, I enjoyed her writing, it was nice, easy to get lost in and smooth.

I was so impressed when I started the book, the writing was great, the chapters were short. It was intriguing to find out she was a Cyborg. I love the idea of a slight resemblance of the Cinderella story in this dystopian world. I had such high hopes because the concept seemed fool proof. Like there is no way you can write a book about those things and people give it less than four stars. But it happened. The first half was great, I loved it so so much! Then the book became predictable. I loved the first half but then the second half I started to predict before it even happened. Cinder’s a great character but her insecurity annoyed me. I love the smidgen of romance we got.

There were so much things left unanswered to me when the book ended. It just wasn’t the book I was expecting in the beginning. I didn’t hate it, I enjoyed it a lot. I will continue on with the series. I hope the books get better from here.

Did you love Cinder? What are your thoughts? Comment below and happy reading! :)
