Genre: New Adult     Pages: 302 with excerpts of Be with me

Synopsis: Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Review:

This story is extremely well written. I found myself laughing, tearing, obnoxiously smiling, and blushing. The love story between Avery and Cam is so heartwarming and beautiful. They are so special, both together and separately. The story played like a movie in my head, each word popping out the screen and coming alive. Including the characters they were so vibrant, and the description of the settings is so vivid. I found myself believing I was Avery and in West Virginia and I fell in love with Cam. I was hooked from the moment I read the first page, I couldn't stop reading, and I finished it in one sitting. I most definitely recommend this book to a friend, stranger, or anyone who loves Young love.
But behind the beauty of their love story is something much deeper and darker. So much more is happening in this book than two souls colliding and falling in love. The Author J.Lynn brings on some pretty heavy topics in the story; rape, self harm, violence, bullying and isolation. Such taboo topics people do not talk about, she brings to life, the topics people ignore every day. It isn't too heavy where it weighs down the book and that's all its about. It gives the book it's difference and edge. To sum it up, if you have a smart phone, nook, kindle, a car or any way of transportation. Go buy the book, it's a beautiful story of self recovery, love, and moving forward. Can't wait to read the second book!

Thank you so much Ms. J.Lynn for sharing Cam and Avery with us!
